President

Melissa Montero

Ever since Melissa was a little girl, her love for organizing events and non-profit work seemed to be part of her life’s work. At seven years old Melissa executed her first event which was a fundraising carnival for Ronald McDonald House and it was then she knew in some manner, this would be her future. While working many years in both the for profit and nonprofit sector all of her career experiences including events, marketing, sports, entertainment and nonprofit work, ultimately leading to the formation of Montero Productions.

Prior to starting Montero Productions in 1999, founder and owner Melissa Montero served as the VP of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of King and Pierce Counties, Marketing Director of Seattle Sounders and Special Event Director at World Wrestling Entertainment.

VP Event Operations

Jen Motes

Jen Motes always knew she wanted to do meaningful work that would solve problems. A basic middle school career guidance test told Jen to consider the world of Philanthropy. Ignoring that suggestion (or so she thought), Jen began working summers in Hospitality. What followed were studies in Communication and Public Relations at Gonzaga University (Go Zags!) as well as Program Management for Educational Conferences.

Since joining Montero Productions in 2007, worlds have collided. Now she gets to bring together a passion for helping people, her enthusiasm for event management, and a drive to help every client find success. Jen loves to utilize her mad organizational talents as well as project coordination skills, and harmonizing program elements for strategic impact.

When not working on the next great event, Jen is with her family either in the kitchen, in the garden, or on an adventure.

Event Manager

Trisha Richardson

Trisha has former Seahawk Jacob Green to thank for unintentionally leading her to the position as event manager for Montero Productions. A “coincidental” crossing of paths with Jacob in 2022 led Trisha to reach out to Montero Productions in pursuit of her dream job in January 2023. The stars were in perfect alignment and it’s been full steam ahead ever since!

Trisha appreciates that each day and each event bring with them a new challenge. She enjoys getting to use the various skills she’s picked up along the way, which include her experience as a manager for a Canadian country artist, bookkeeper and office manager, writer and self-published author and even an elementary substitute teacher. Trisha’s favorite part of the position is working with her dynamic team as well as with the clients, committee members, volunteers, and event guests, who come together as one in support of some amazing charities. She loves being partnered with big-hearted people who are creating a significant impact out in the world.

Event Assistant

Michelle Behar

Michelle has always loved helping people and was destined to work in non-profit. Her first corporate job was in customer service at Providence Health Plans helping seniors with their Medicare benefits including doing talks at Senior Centers across Washington. After a quick phase doing outside sales (not her favorite job) she finally landed an incredible opportunity working as an Event Manager at Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation working with Guilds on various projects to help raise money for uncompensated care. Michelle has been working with Montero Productions since 2012 managing amazing, inspiring events from auctions, luncheons, golf tournaments and more. Highlights include working with volunteers and helping them reach their financial goals. Michelle also volunteers for several non-profit events and school functions and has served on local boards. Michelle is a graduate of Speech Communications at University of Washington. She was born and raised in Bellevue, Washington, has been married over 20 years and has two kids.
